Extract of a Letter from St. Maloes,
Dec. 24.

An Advice Boat arrived here with Dispatches from the Governor of Cape Francois, has brought an Account, that two American Privateers, of considerable Force, having run into that Port, and come to an Anchor, were, by the Governor's Orders obliged immediately to put to Sea again. Commanders of the above Vessels pleaded their Ships had sustained considerable Damage in a Gale of Wind, but the Governor, who turned a deaf Ear to their Intreaties, informed them, if they did not instantly obey his Order, the Garrison should immediate fire into them.
