DENVER CAFE ROBBED OF $866, IS ALLEGED

(BY MORNING JOURNAL SPECIAL LEASED WIRE)

Denver, Colo., Jan. 26.—Two young men entered the Hoff-Schroeder cafe on Welton street tonight, waited until everyone but Charles Schroeder, one of the proprietors, his wife and their 15-year-old daughter, had left the office and then robbed the safe of $866 and escaped. Three hundred dollars in cash and some jewelry carried by Mrs. Schroeder was overlooked by the robbers.

Before ransacking the safe, the men bound Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder back to back, and tied the daughter's hands and feet.

Mr. Schroeder told the police he believed the robbers were former employees of the restaurant.
