7,000 HEAD OF OSCEOLA COUNTY CATTLE SHIPPED

Kissimmee, Aug. 22.--An even thousand head of Florida cattle went, during the last week from this county to the ranch of C. B. Elam, 20 miles northwest of Houston, Texas, bringing up the total number of cattle bought here this season by this one rancher to 7,000.

He expects to ship at least 3,000 more head before the season is over.

Except 2,000 head, which went direct to the market in St. Louis, all these cattle were shipped to the Texas ranch.

Not alone has Osceola county shipped cattle to the Elam ranch this season, but other Florida counties have been benefited by his buying. Four thousand head have been shipped from Manatee and DeSoto counties, and he expects to ship 3,000 more from those points.

He expects to handle 17,000 head from Florida before the season is over, this including the number already shipped.
