The diet of Poland, has at length nearly finished sitting, which have been the longest and most violent ever known in that kingdom. The result of their deliberations on the state of the nation are to the following effect:

Military establishment—100,000 men.

Annual expense—computed at forty-eight millions five hundred and thirty-one thousand Polish florins, at about four millions sterling.

Additional revenue to pay it—A tax of ten per cent. on the revenues of the clergy and church lands, excepting such as belong to hospitals and convents.
