Easter Seals Placed in Mails Today;
Goal for Union County Set at $3000

Mail bags containing Easter Seals flooded the post office today on the eve of the opening of the annual Easter Seal Drive of the Union County Society for Crippled Children and Adults.
Most of the Easter Seal letters will be delivered this week, carrying the message of the society asking support of its service to our crippled children and adults.
The campaign for funds will continue through until Easter Sunday, with a goal of $3000 to be reached in that time, according to Erdene Longberry, Easter Seal drive chairman.
Easter Seal letters were prepared and addressed, and sheets of one hundred seals each were folded into the envelopes by a corps of volunteer workers and members of the Union County Society for Crippled Children and Adults who have been working at campaign headquarters for the past several weeks.
"Let's not deny a single crippled child the full benefits of professional care so that he may have the happy life that is the birthright of every child," was the appeal of Supt. H. W. Carr, president of the organization.
During the past year the Union County Society for Crippled Children and Adults sent five children to camp for a two-week period, purchased glasses for needy children, provided transportation to and from hospitals for handicapped children needing care, purchased braces for various types of cases, purchased an audiometer for the use of the Union County Health Department in testing the hearing of all the boys and girls in Union County.
