President Has First Day Of Fishing; Party On Board Boat This Evening

WITH HOOVER ON OSABAW SOUND, Georgia, Dec. 24.
Fresh and salt water bass were the presidential quarry today as the U. S. Sequoia, carrying the chief executive and Mrs. Hoover, steamed into this broad sound to allow Mr. Hoover his first of 10 days of fishing.
During the three hour cruise from Savannah under sunny skies the president and the first lady and their five guests settled themselves in a polished 115 foot craft that will be their home for at least a week.
A Christmas Eve party aboard after the day's fishing was planned by Mrs. Hoover and half a truckload of carefully wrapped parcels were packed in the Sequoia's hold.
The president was given a greeting reminiscent of campaign days when he arrived at Savannah this morning after an uneventful run from the national capital.
