Melancholy Intelligence from Cape De Verde Islands—Ravages of the Yellow Fever, Small Pox and Famine. By a slip from the New York Herald, we have distressing intelligence of the ravages of the Yellow Fever at Bona Vista, one of the Cape de Verde Islands, by which one-eighth of the entire population had been swept off. A famine also prevailed, which had produced many deaths and the most intense suffering. At Brava the yellow fever had prevailed for five months, causing about 500 deaths. On the 25th of April, the small pox was making terrible havoc at Gosca. About 200 had died in twenty days.
