The Austin (Texas) Journal says:

Irving Moore, of the State police, has just returned from Alexandria, Louisiana, having been in pursuit of some noted horse thieves, capturing them, and recovering all the animals stolen. Their names are Richard Lane and Weatherly (transient). The property was stolen from the firm of Cameron, Bradford & Co., contractors on the International road. The horse thieves had near three weeks start of Moore, but he took their trail and kept it until he came up with them, finding the property scattered from Texas to Louisiana. It was a cold trail, but was followed with unremitting energy, and rewarded with complete success.
