Full Text

Now we walk through falling snow
Through whiteness everywhere we go
And break line after drifting line.
Surrounds us, yet your face and mine
Whenever we turn to each other appear
In a narrow space that is snowless,
Vivid, memorably alone
clear,
Sharply in focus though earth has grown
Blurred and so strange. The instant we pass
Obscuring whiteness closes in
Just at our heels our tracks begin.
Behind us, swift as jungle grass:
Briefly we clear a path to go
Through fabulous hanging vines of snow.
