Says He Hopes to See the Time When Strikes, Lock Outs and Blacklists Will Be Impossible.

Scranton, Pa., Oct. 29.-John Mitchell, president of the United Mine Workers of America, addressed the "Mitchell Day" meeting at Mauch Chunk City today. He said: "I want to see such relations established between employer and employe as shall make strikes, lockouts and blacklists impossible. "I want to see every workman a union man, for unionism stands for higher wages, greater efficiency, shorter hours and better work."
