Dr. Horace Mann Bond, Ph. D., president of Fort Valley College, Fort Valley held a very large audience in rapt attention for thirty minutes on the subject, 'Tell it to the Following Generations.'
'Tell to them the duty of courage, tell to them the duty of decency and tell to them the duty of leadership,' he said.
Miss Lillie Bell Adams was the salutatorian and Robert Leon McCall was the valedictorian. Twenty-four boys and girls received diplomas.
Robert L. McCall received a medal from Dr. and Mrs. J. H. Griffin and one from the Au Fait Club for being the highest ranking student. Eddie King received a medal for being the best all round student and one for being the best athlete. J. C. Crawford and Prentiss Bonner received medals for the best in music. These were given by Mrs. Hattie Mann Smith.
Rutha Mae Cummings received a medal for standing longest in the spelling match that was held in the county.
