Senate, June 5.
The report of the comm'tee on the subject of electors was taken up: It rec. recommends, that the whole number of electors, on the part of this Commonwealth, be chosen by the people thereof, at large, in a general ticket, and that one at least of said Electors be an inhabitant of each district of the Commonwealth, established for the purpose of chusing Representatives in Congress.
This report occasioned a long debate; in the course of which several alterations were moved but the main question, to accept the report, was carried in the affirmative.
