King Winter today gave New York its coldest weather of the season. The temperature early this morning was 7 degrees above zero. A drop beginning 26 degrees in 12 hours, temperature began slowly to rise. After sunrise the temperature began slowly to rise.

New York, Dec. 18.-(A)-King Winter today gave New York its coldest weather of the season. The temperature early this morning was 7 degrees above zero. A biting wind added to the effect of the cold, driving to Bowery lodging houses more than 1,000 men, women and children, many of them wandering nomads of the East Side.
