MURDER.—By the Sparta [Tennessee] Gazette, we learn that a Mrs. Mary Hunter, was shot dead on the 11th inst. It appears she was sitting by her fireside, near Covington, when she was shot by some unseen person, from outside the house. The ball passed through the window and entered her head at the lower part of the left ear. She expired in a few minutes. A man by the name of Archibald Kirly has been arrested for the act, and committed to await his trial at the June term of the White Circuit Court.
