N. C. Woman Is Great-Grandmother At The Age Of 44

JACKSON, N. C. -- (ANP) Probably the youngest great-grandmother in the United States is Mrs. Alice Jackson, only 44 years old. Mrs. Jackson is the mother of Mrs. Ilana Turner, 30, the grandmother of Mrs. Clara Mae Brown, 15, and the great-grandmother of Mrs. Brown's newly born son. Here is how it all happened-- Mrs. Jackson was 14 when she gave birth to her daughter, Lana, who married at 15 and gave birth to her daughter, Clara Mae, at 16. Clara Mae married at the age of 11 and at 15 is the mother of a 7 1/2 pound son. Mrs. Jackson's great-grandchild.
