RAIL ROADS.
Mr. Brooks, the Chief Engineer on the Fremont & Indiana Railroad, is now in town organizing a corps of engineers, to make a preliminary survey of the Fremont & Ft. Wayne air line Railroad. This road, it is now understood, is to be built by the consolidation of the Toledo, Norwalk & Cleveland, with the Junction Railroads. We understand this survey is to be made under the direction of Mr. Bircherd, and he has requested Mr. Brooks to have the survey made immediately, and the line prepared for early fall work.
As this road is to be built by a mammoth company, no local subscriptions will be asked for on the line.
Mr. Brooks has now a corps of engineers on the Fremont & Finley, making a permanent location and preparing the line for work. By reference to the advertisement it will be seen that this road is to be let on the 20th inst.
