Radical is Said to Have Given $60,000 to 'Reds'
New York, Nov. 22. - Rose Pastor Stokes, who yesterday refused to permit a subpoena to be served on her calling for her appearance before the extraordinary grand jury as a witness in the investigation of the activities of the criminal anarchists in this city, appeared yesterday before the jury, only to be told she was not wanted at that time and to come back later.
Her name is said to be signed to more than half a dozen checks, each for about $10,000, which had been contributed to the support of the Communist party.
