For the Morning Star.
Dear Br. Burr:—
We are enjoying good seasons still in Plymouth. Since the 1st Sabbath in May we have received an addition of 20 members—twelve by baptism, one by letter, and seven by experience. One more has been baptized who has not united with the church. This, however, is not our common practice. We continue to preach in four different places in the town. Our meetings are full and solemn. Opposition has about ceased.
The tenth of April last was our annual state fast. On that day we organized a temperance society of about thirty members. I have spoken upon the subject a number of times. The society now numbers 100, with a fair prospect of soon doubling. This has increased the revival here, though some feared it would stop it.
A good work has begun in Reading, under the labors of brother Almond Shepherd of Brookfield, Vt. A number have been brought from darkness to light. Ride on, all conquering King, until the whole earth shall be filled with thy praise.
Yours affectionately,
WM. WARNER.
