The New Bedford Mercury now says, that George Sherburn, the man who gave information some time since which led to the arrest of Edward Mahan, as probably being the murderer of Mr. Parker, of Manchester, N. H., has been himself arrested and committed to jail in Boston, circumstances having occurred during the examination of Mahan, which render it probable that Sherburn was concerned in the bloody transaction. Mahan has been discharged, it being satisfactorily proved that he was out of the State at the time of the murder.
