CALLERY DENIES CHARGES.

Howat's Attorney Declares He Never Lobbied for Kansas Court Law.

Pittsburg, Kan., Nov. 22. - Phil H. Callery, attorney for the Howat organization in the controversy in the Kansas coal fields, today issued a general denial to charges contained in recommendations made to the international organization, U. M. W. A., by the representatives of the international here.

The recommendations made public Saturday state that Callery lobbied for the passage of the industrial court law in the Kansas legislature.

Callery says that this statement is false.
