Normal Business Rate
In 2 Months Forecast

Washington, Mar. 3.—(P)—A prediction that American business activity would speed up to a normal rate within two months was made today by Secretary of Commerce Lamont who said that a slowing down in the last six months had not been as extensive as had been feared, and that the approach of spring and warm weather would increase employment.

"My own opinion is that during the forecast of this year American industrial enterprise has had inevitably to slow down," he asserted.

"That slowing down seems to be passing over and with the usual increase of outdoor work in the northern states, as weather conditions moderate we are likely to find the country as a whole enjoying its wonted state of prosperity."
