The Milwaukee Journal says this with regard to the famous utterance charged against the Republican presidential nominee, which it has been sought to deny the truth of. That paper says:

John C. New, of Indiana, offered $2,000 to any one who would prove that Harrison said "a dollar a day is enough for a laboring man."

Now that several laboring men have made sworn statements that they heard the language used, New threatens to have them indicted for perjury. New is as great a bluffer as he is a blunderer.
