Full Text

A Breathing Spell for the Members.—Two thirds of the lobby, at Washington, have disappeared. They have gone off like wild geese at a change of season. The reason for this departure is apparent, says the Star, in the fact that Nebraska, Cuba, and the six steamer project are about to occupy the attention of the House almost exclusively for the next two or three months. No one can possibly turn an honest penny in connection with either of them. Hence, the lobby have for the most part migrated for a brief season.
