WOMAN ATTACKED
ON STREET BY MAN

Assailant Grabs Mrs. Arthur Ries,
But Flees When Cries Attract Help

Mrs. Arthur Ries, of No. 1218 West Grand Blvd., is in a serious condition from hysteria, in her home, as the result of an attack made upon her by a well-dressed young man, early Monday evening, as she was approaching her home, and was passing a dark spot on the Boulevard.
Mrs. Ries declares that her assailant pinioned her arms behind her, and when she struggled with him, pressed a cloth against her face. She thought that the cloth was saturated with some drug.
Her cries attracted neighbors, who rushed to their porches, and then chased the bold thug. One man overhauled the fellow, but the fugitive wriggled loose from a grasp on his coat tails, and quickly disappeared.
Mrs. Ries was suffering so greatly from shock when she arrived home that a physician was summoned to attend her.
