CRAZY SHEEP.

Peculiar Antics of a Flock in Clarke County, Ohio.

SPRINGFIELD, O., April 16.-Remarkable stories reach here about a flock of sheep in Greene township, on the farm of David Stewart, which have become insane from hydrophobia or other causes. A gentleman gives particulars of the case. He says he saw full-grown sheep rush bodily at large rocks and "butt" their brains out, dying in fearful agonies, and leaving the rock covered with blood.

So impressed were the owners of the sheep with the terrible condition that the animals were buried without having their pelts removed, the men in charge of the work being almost afraid to touch them. The health officer says he discredits their having the hydrophobia, but thinks it was some other form of brain disease.
