Taxpayers' Association Directors Hold Meeting

Members of the board of directors of the Cochise County Taxpayers' association held a meeting yesterday in the Bank of Douglas, John B. Crowell, president of the association, presiding.

The meeting did not take final action upon any matter, it was stated after the adjournment, but it is understood to have been called for the purpose of discussing the county budget with a view to making concerted opposition as to certain items the budget contains, outstanding among them being the road appropriation.

Whether that was the purpose of the meeting yesterday, those attending did not say. They did assert, however, that there will be another meeting of the taxpayers prior to the budget meeting and that there then may be something to give to the public.
