ALABAMA.—The most numerously attended Convention that ever assembled in Alabama, convened at Tuscaloosa on the 1st inst. Nearly 1000 delegates were in attendance. The following Electoral Ticket, pledged to support Harrison and Tyler, was formed, embracing, as it will be seen, men of commanding characters, talents and influence: Gov. John Gayle of Mobile, Col. Nicholas Davis, of Limestone, Arthur F. Hopkins of Madison, Col. Thomas Williams, jr. of Tuscaloosa; Harry I. Thornton of Greene; Henry W. Hilliard of Montgomery, and James Abercrombie of Russell. The Whigs promise, with great confidence, to "redeem" Alabama in November.
