Capt. Tiddeman, who sailed from Madras with five ships of war, is to join Admiral Cornish, and it was thought would attempt Mauritius.

The Falmouth and Prince Edward have on board Mons. de Laree, the French Governor of Pondicherry; all the fortifications of which were totally destroyed, and the guns carried to Madras.

There is an account come of Admiral Cornish, with the squadron under his command, having been off the Isle of Bourbon; but not meeting the reinforcement which he expected to find there, he retired and is gone to the Cape of Good Hope.
