Holtville Ready For Rabbit Drive

Valley nimrods are cleaning their shotguns today in preparation for the rabbit drive northeast of Holtville tomorrow morning and Capt. J. W. Myall of the Salvation Army has his kitchen crew ready to make stew of the victims. The Holtville Chamber of Commerce was selected as the starting point with 9 o'clock the hour of departure. Holtville area ranchers planned the drive as a means of ridding themselves of the rabbits. The animals are said to infest the neighborhood in great numbers and to destroy quantities of feed and grain. Unemployed men will benefit by the drive as the meat is to be utilized at the Salvation Army in preparing food for the needy.
