Champion Speller To Second Round

Mary Jo Ferguson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Ferguson, will carry Madison County's laurels to Columbus for another round in the State Spelling Contest to be held in the Ohio Union on the Ohio State campus, April 28. Mary Jo won the county contest at Deercreek School.

This phase of the contest includes the Columbus city schools as well as exempted village schools and schools of the surrounding counties. It will consist of a written and an oral examination. Good luck, Mary Jo!
