By a Vessel from South-Carolina, We hear,

That the General Assembly had addressed Governor Bull, to request Col. Montgomery's Tarry among them ; and also to desire of his Excellency General Amherst to countermand the Orders for the Return of the Troops ; it being very probable the Choctaws and Creeks would join the Cherokees, and that they appeared very numerous : That the Inhabitants of South-Carolina were under great Apprehensions that the Indians would overrun their Country, without a Number of Regulars is left to assist.
