Full Text

Genoa, May 14.

The Austrians under Prince Liechtenstein threaten us with Destruction, and the Piedmontese actually plunder our Country every Day. To draw ourselves out of such untoward Circumstances, it has been judged expedient to reinforce the Allied Armies with several Battalions, in Hopes this may enable them to extend their Quarters, and ease us thereby of a Load we are very unable to bear. The Marquis de Castellar is at present the grand Topick of Discourse, on Account of his famous Retreat, which to be sure was admirably contrived, and executed with Vigour.
