Paris, Nov. 18.—In the chamber of deputies to-day, Roche brought forward for inspection his notice which has caused considerable sensation by accusing De Freycinet, late president of the council, of having while in office illegally allotted 50,000 francs to Archbishop Fava, after a motion to grant that amount had been rejected by the chamber. Minister Fallières has explained that allotment was in repayment of advance made by the archbishop who had patriotically promoted French influence in Tunis at a great personal sacrifice. The order of the day pure and simple, was moved by ministers, and the motion adopted by 344 to 125.
