NORTH CAROLINA WINS SUIT

The case of Pickens and Oconee counties against Jennings and company, concerning the breaking of Toxaway Dam, was won by the North Carolina people.

It will be remembered that when this dam broke several years ago, much damage was done along the banks of the Keowee river. Several large bridges were destroyed and many people suffered losses.

This case was tried in Brevard, N. C. last week. Our attorneys, Carey, Craig and Keith have made an appeal to the North Carolina supreme court.

It is thought in North Carolina that this will end the suit one way or other.
