Full Text

In ex-President Arthur's funeral procession President Cleveland was assigned to march beside his ex-Fraudulency, R. B. Hayes. Yet so great was his respect for the solemnity of the occasion and the feelings of the dead President's relatives, that he cheerfully took the post assigned him. But Mr. Blaine, for a much smaller affront from Senator Edmunds, pains the friends of the dead ex-President and does discredit to himself. But Mr. Cleveland was built for a President, and Mr. Blaine wasn't built that way.
