What is this article about?

Connecticut's General Assembly approved petitions agreed upon by the Congress, ordering them signed and forwarded to Great Britain. The delay in signing at New York was due to reporting to the assembly first. Other provinces expected to agree. Seven colonies have already petitioned: Massachusetts, Rhode-Island, Connecticut, New-Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the Government of New-Castle, Kent, and Sussex on Delaware. New York's commissioners agreed but must report to their assembly.

Full Text

We hear from Connecticut, that the Petitions agreed on by the Congress, have been approved of by the General Assembly of that Colony, and ordered to be signed by their Committee, and forwarded immediately to Great-Britain. The Reason of the Committee of Connecticut's not signing at New-York, was their being ordered first to Report to the Assembly. We hear the other Provinces are like to agree in the same Petitions. The seven Colonies which have already Petitioned are Massachusetts, Rhode-Island, Connecticut, New-Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the Government of New-Castle, Kent, and Sussex on Delaware. The Commissioners from New-York agreed to the Resolves and Petitions, but were obliged to Report to their Assemblies, from whence there is no Doubt they will be transmitted.
