Louis J. Moore, of Elyria, Left for Freeport via Cleveland Two Weeks Ago-Has Not Been Heard of Since.
CLEVELAND, O., Sept. 28.-On September 17 Louis J. Moore, a horseman well known through northern Ohio, left his home in Elyria to join his wife and children who were visiting relatives at Freeport, O. He had in his possession about $3,000. He had to make the trip by way of Cleveland, and after he started for this city all trace of him was lost. Two days ago his wife returned to her home in Elyria, and not finding her husband home, started an investigation. Tuesday she laid the matter before the Cleveland police. Last Saturday the badly decomposed body of a man was found floating in the Cuyahoga river and in two days buried. So far as could be ascertained it corresponded with the description of Moore. There were no valuables in the dead man's pockets.
