The United States' Circuit Court which commenced a session in Newport on Tuesday last, adjourned on Wednesday, having disposed of all the business before it, none of which was of a publick nature. Judge Story, we understand, delivered a luminous and impressive charge to the Grand Jury, explaining the nature of offences which they are bound to notice. His Honour, we are happy to learn, particularly directed the attention of the Jury to violations of the laws for the prevention of the Slave Trade, and assured them of the protection of the Court, in the fearless discharge of an imperative, but from the station of offenders, frequently perilous duty.—No presentments were made.
