Opening June 27

Formal opening of The Electric Shop in its new location in the Braithwaite Building will be Friday and Saturday, June 27-28, A. J. Braithwaite, owner and operator, announced Monday.

Mr. Braithwaite has operated the Electric Shop in West Jefferson under the same firm name during the last 28 years. He purchased the business from Minor Metzger in 1924.

During that time he has conducted electrical contracting in connection with operation of the local store which handles an extensive line of appliances and fixtures. He still has the same refrigerator franchise he obtained in 1927.

During 28 years in business, Mr. Braithwaite has moved his store four times, finally realizing his ambition to occupy his own building.
