Full Text
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 25.
Part of the town was yesterday morning amused, though to the jeopardy of the limbs and lives of hundreds of women and children, by a BUFFALO HUNT through some of the principal streets of the city. This animal having made his escape from his keeper was pursued by a great number of dogs and a large collection of men and boys. Fortunately he was foiled in his attempt to go through the market place, or much mischief would have ensued. He traversed many of the streets before he was secured: and we believe no serious injury was occasioned by this novel exhibition.
