Clerk Cochran Re-appointed

Last Saturday Edwin R. Cochran, who for the past five years has been the Clerk of the Peace of this county, received a dispatch that he had been re-appointed by Governor Stockley for the ensuing five years. Mr. Cochran has made a very efficient officer, and his re-appointment was asked for by leading men of both parties. He is a native of this State, about 46 years of age, and resides on a highly productive farm near Middletown. He served in the lower house of the General Assembly in 1877 and 1879, and was first appointed Clerk of the Peace by Governor Hall in 1880.
