CRAZY IN THE HILLS.—A man named Price, employed as a herder on Richman's ranch, Smith Creek, became suddenly demented three days since, and stripping off his clothes took to the hills. He was at once pursued, and being seen, an effort was made to capture him, but it was found impossible to overtake him, even with the aid of a fleet horse. Parties are still in search of him, but as it is now three days since he left, it is thought he has perished ere this. Price is a man about 45 years of age and of sober habits, and no cause can be assigned for the sudden loss of his reason. Mr. Bircham is putting forth every effort to find him, dead or alive, and men mounted on fleet horses, are now scouring the hills in the prosecution of the search. We get these particulars from Mr. J. W. Frakes, who expresses no surprise at the occurrence, as he says "sheep-herders always go crazy."
