PHILADELPHIA. Sept. 16.

By a Letter from the Havannah, come to Hand since our last, we learn, that besides the 12 Spanish ships of the line found in the harbour at the surrender of that place, there were likewise 5 frigates, and about 30 sail of Merchantmen there: That our men of war had taken 4 frigates, one of them of 24. and another of 18 guns, said to be exceeding rich vessels; and that we have lost a great many soldiers and sailors, who went a plundering the villages, but generally fell in with the enemy's light horse who murdered them in the cruelest manner, by cutting out their tongues, and mangling them in a most horrid manner, such as a regard to decency forbids to mention.
