London, Dec. 27.—The Paris correspondent of The Times gives an interesting account of the way in which Emile Zola escaped to London after the sentence imposed upon him last July in the trial on the charge of libel brought against him and M. Perroux, managing editor of The Aurore, by the officers of the Esterhazy court martial. M. Zola has lived at various country places in England quietly ever since. It appears that his Paris friends had the greatest difficulty to persuade him to seek refuge in England, the course they considered best for the interests of Dreyfus revision.
