Watson Case Is Again Postponed

The case of Ollie Watson, colored, charged with assault and battery, has been continued over until Thursday morning. Watson was released on his own recognizance until that time. The police have been unable to locate Hattie Watson, his wife, complainant. Upon request of the defendant Judge Harvey deferred sentence for one week.

Watson has already pleaded guilty to the charge but due to unusual circumstances in the case the court desires that his wife appear in order that further investigation may be made before sentence is pronounced.

Watson was charged with having struck his wife on the head with a pitcher, cutting her head and fracturing her jaw.
