The Congressional nominating Convention for the 19th district, met at Warren, Trumbull county, last week, and renominated Gen. John A. Garfield by acclamation. The 19th is the district in which Senator Wade resides.— The following resolutions, passed by the Convention, indicate the light in which efforts to sow dissensions in the Union ranks are regarded by those composing the Convention, and especially how they look upon the "protest" of Messrs. Wade and Davis:

Resolved, That in times like these, there can be no dissensions among truly loyal men, and that we distrust the patriotism, and condemn the conduct of those professed Union men who are endeavoring to create dissension in the Union ranks, whether in the army or out of it, and are thus deliberately and directly contributing to the triumph of the rebellion, the disruption of the Union, and the destruction of the Government.

Resolved, That the recent attack upon the President by Messrs. Wade and Davis, is, in our opinion, ill-timed, ill-tempered and ill-advised, carrying great and undisguised joy to rebel camps in the South, and rebel sympathizers in the North, and to the Union cause can be productive of evil and only evil; and inasmuch as one of the authors of said protest is a citizen of this Congressional District, and indebted in no small degree to our friendship for the position he now occupies, we deem it a duty, no less important than disagreeable, to pronounce upon that disorganizing manifesto our unqualified disapproval and condemnation.

Resolved, That we will frown upon every attempt from whatever source, and consign to merited oblivion, so far as in our power, every man, of whatever station, who, with professions of loyalty upon his lips shall attempt in any manner to divide, delude or betray the loyal men of the country in this momentous struggle.
