Good Words for Good Works.

Ep. Freeman: I send you a report of the Parkersburg, M. E. Circuit for publication.

During the administration of the Rev. J. W. Lambert, which has lasted three years, we find from the records, that the following noteworthy things have been brought about.

First of all and most important. 425 persons have professed conversion and 280 have been taken into full connection in the church.

We find that the financial interests have kept pace with the spiritual. There have been three churches dedicated and one parsonage built. Also during the first year the circuit paid the Presiding Elder, Pastor, church, debts, benevolent purposes, and current expenses, the sum of $1,518.50; second year, $1,670; third year, $2,022. Total amount for three years, $5,210.50.

We know outside of the records, that many who were asleep in the church, careless, negligent and indolent, when Mr. Lambert took charge of the circuit, have thro' his preaching and untiring efforts been awakened, aroused and are to-day bright, useful members in the church, while the good Bro. ascribes all praise to God and leaves the circuit no doubt singing, "Praise God &c." We believe that the well wishes of all the good people of this circuit will follow him wherever he goes.
