COLUMBUS, O., Sept. 11-Sixth annual Freshman Week will begin September 28 at Ohio State University. The program will last five days, attendance being required of all new first year students.
Thirty events have been arranged to acquaint new students with the university and its facilities. The new students will be organized in groups of 30 each, with separate divisions for men and women. Two members of the faculty will be assigned to each group, as advisers and leaders.
President George W. Rightmire of the University will speak at the first assembly of the entire freshman class on the evening of September 28, the program being broadcast over the university radio station WEAO.
Freshmen will devote daytime hours to various tests, conferences and other events intended to familiarize them with the university. A special program has been arranged for each night.
Parents of freshmen will also have an opportunity to become better acquainted with the university and its work, at a Parents' Conference arranged for September 28.
A radio program describing Freshman Week and its purposes will be broadcast on the night of September 23 from WEAO, by Junior Dean C. W. Reeder, of the Freshman Week Council.
