A letter from London, dated August 25, by the Africa, says:- "Harvest operations in England are progressing in most of the counties, under the most favorable weather, with, we believe, an abundant yield in some parts, and a full average crop upon the whole. The potato and bean crop, as far as we can learn, are the only crops likely to be affected, and they are reported to have suffered, to some extent, from disease and blight."

A letter from Liverpool of same date, says:- "The weather is favorable for the harvest, of which a great deal is cut, and some secured. All accounts agree the harvest will be fully an average one, and, as much more wheat was sown in Ireland, than in any previous year, we think our wants will be comparatively small, and prices much lower than at present."

At London, there had already been brought to market, 1000 quarters of new wheat from Essex.
