Full Text

The London papers mention that some serious discontents have been shown in Sweden and Norway, and that there is a prospect that the king of Sweden will not long survive. It seems to be supposed that the disease of the old king may further disturb the tranquility of the kingdom. We believe that the crown prince, who has been adopted by the reigning monarch as his son, and acknowledged as the heir apparent of the crown in the most solemn manner, is very generally and deservedly popular in both kingdoms, and that his succession to the throne is likely to take place without any serious danger of convulsions in the government.
